You may notice that we are a little different. You will notice the reverence of the worship service, and yet at the same time a warmth and deep joy. We believe these things belong together. Careful attention is given to the hymns we sing, the preaching, and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Our life centers around the Sunday morning service – a weekly celebration of Easter and our Lord’s resurrection. We hope and pray that you will consider joining us  at Gloria Dei (Glory of God) Lutheran Church!

What do the Lutherans believe?
Our basic beliefs and practices are handsomely summed up in one of the best handbooks of Christian teaching ever written – the Small Catechism. Put together by Martin Luther, it contains simple but rich explanations of the Ten Commandments, Apostles’ Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, Confession, and the Lord’s Supper – all in only a few pages.

What else does Gloria Dei offer?
In addition to the Sunday morning service, we offer children’s Sunday School, a rich, lively Sunday morning Adult Bible Class, and youth group.  Other opportunities for worship and prayer are announced throughout the year. In addition, we offer women’s and men’s Bible studies.  See our calendar for more information.

What about the music at Gloria Dei?
Music is given highest priority. Gloria Dei humbly seeks to be a model congregation in the area of sacred music. Our roots are deep down in the Lutheran heritage of singing the faith. We use the wonderful Lutheran Service Book. We enjoy a beautiful pipe organ, and members are invited to consider joining a choir.
