“And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, (Jesus) interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.” Luke 24:27
Dear Friends in Christ,
Lent is just about here! Ash Wednesday is this coming Wednesday, March 6. It will be a joy to once again walk together with you through these weeks of repentance for sin, and preparation for the celebration of Jesus’ glorious resurrection. Lent is a beautiful season to spend together. While it is not easy to focus on repentance, but when we all do it together, we find it a time of community, a time of love in Christ Jesus.

Each year we have a special series of services on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Starting on Ash Wednesday, we will begin a series on the prophecies of Jesus’ passion in the Old Testament. It will be a good time for us to learn how the Old Testament always pointed forward towards Jesus’ coming and dying on the cross for us.
This Wednesday, we will have Ash Wednesday services at noon and 7pm, including the imposition of ashes and individual and corporate confession and absolution.
I hope and pray that you will be able to come to the evening services and soup suppers. It is a good time to grow in love for each other and to taste the mercy and forgiveness of Jesus.
Our Lenten schedule is as follows with services at noon and 7 pm. We will have soup suppers at 6 pm on each of these days except for Ash Wednesday:
In Christ,
Pastor Horn
